Research Topic Question: What racial issues might still be prevalent?  How to prevent racial prejudice and discrimination in society?

The topic of racial injustice and racial issues in society is very relevant today. But the idea of this topic is that it may seem vague and not talked about because people assume that segregation has ended racial inequality is not as bad as it was during The Civil Rights Movements. But as a woman of color I can speak for not only African-Americans but any other minority group to show that racial issues and racial inequality is still prevalent in society today. I want to further study this topic and reveal the truth about how many minority groups face racial prejudice and discrimination. This can include people being discriminated at their workplace. This can also include the fact that the majority of people in The United States that receive any government assistance program is people of color. There are many other racial issues that are prevalent in society and I want to further explore them. I also want to know if there are any efforts to even prevent these injustices from happening or are there any rules set in place that will punish the people who commit these acts against minorities.  I also want to bring up stereotypes and relate them back to why racial prejudice and injustices happen. There are many stereotypes that people come up with everyday and it has affected the lives of many people of color and it has created this gap between whites and minority groups in America. I could relate to so many things about this topic and bring up so many examples throughout history and connect it to the present.
